The Impossible Aerospace US-1 is subject to export control regulations of the United States. The US-1 falls under the export control classification number (ECCN) 9A012, with a flight time exceeding 60 minutes, any export outside the US or Canada will require a state department license.
In addition, certain camera payloads offered by US based FLIR Systems and Workswell Infrared Camera Systems based in the Czech Republic will have export compliance requirements. Additional information on the thermal camera resolution requirements appear below.
If you plan to ship a US-1 outside of the US and Canada, you will need to register with the U.S. Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) and apply for an export license from DDT. There are several countries and certain “denied parties” where export of the US-1 with, or without a payload is prohibited.
